Grants police warn against thieves taking gas from cars

GRANTS, N.M. (KRQE) – Grants police say thieves are skipping the pumps and taking gasoline right from people’s cars.

Police say over the last five months they’ve received numerous reports of gas tanks being punched and drilled.

Police say larger vehicles suchs as trucks are most commonly targeted.

A $500 reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to an arrest.
