Bernalillo County Metro Court has been awarded a $2 million grant for its specialty court programs.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is giving them the money.
The grant will allow metro court to enhance its seven specialty programs, which gives non-violent offenders a chance at rehabilitation instead of jail.
