Community leaders gathered together to reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Monday, the Grant Chapel AME Church hosted its 23rd annual commemorative breakfast at the Marriott Hotel.
It gave guest speakers, church members and others a chance to honor the civil rights icon.
While many point to the incredible progress we’ve made, they still think more can be done.
“We have not achieved the kind of equality I think we would like and certainly that the people who are affected by our prejudices, biases, and bigotry would like,” said Frank Jerabek, Grant Chapel AME Church.
A local gospel choir also gave a special performance remember Dr. King.
