The University of New Mexico is launching a new initiative to promote collaborative research.
The school’s Grand Challenge Initiative kicked off Wednesday.
It aims to promote research and relevancy to solving the city’s most troubling societal problems.
Faculty, students, and staff are tasked with choosing three specific ‘Challenges’ on which to focus the school’s interdisciplinary research efforts.
The university hopes the project will empower its state of mind to contribute new knowledge and understanding for the social good.
