Gov. Lujan Grisham appoints new regulators to racing commission

A new set of eyes will oversee New Mexico’s horse racing industry.

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham announced the new appointments Thursday. The state is currently in a battle surrounding its sixth and final license for a racetrack and casino.

It’s now the commission’s job to decide who will compete for the license. There are five proposals under consideration.
