ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Working out isn’t the only thing that’s important when trying to get fit.
Fitness Expert, Kristin Rowe, talks eating right and why it’s so important in this week’s edition of Fit Friday.
Rowe suggests cutting the sugar cravings by clearing out the pantry and getting the sweets out of sight.Rowe joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate how to make delicious healthy Blueberry oat/egg white pancakes, they’ll make you think you are cheating on your diet.
Here is the recipe:
- ½ cup oats
- 1 whole egg
- 3 egg whites
- 2 oz blueberries
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp stevia
- 1 tsp baking power
Blend all ingredients in a blender until batter is smooth. Heat up pan on medium heat and spray with nonstick spray. Poor half of the batter into pan and cover. Once batter rises and bubbles, flip your pancake and cook the other side. Remove from pan once done and repeat with the remaining half of the batter. Top pancakes with fruit, sugar free syrup, almond butter, or whatever you’d like.
