ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The community came together to mourn the loss of a Sandia High School freshman.

Friends and family gathered Wednesday night at the First Christian Church near Eubank and Montgomery for Shaylee Boling’s memorial.

Police say two suspected car thieves slammed a stolen van into her family’s car last week, killing the 14-year-old.

Elexus Groves, 21, was arrested for Boling’s murder last week. Her alleged accomplice, Paul Garcia, is still on the run.
