Friday deadline for PNM to decided if it will take lower rate increase

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – PNM must decide by Friday if it will take a lower than expected rate increase.

Originally PNM wanted a 14 percent increase, but the Public Regulation Commission voted on a 1.4 percent increase this week.

PNM has been asking for extra money to cover the cost of investments made at one of their coal power plants.

There is no word on if money will be set aside for the coal power plants are a part of the deal.
