ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A local organization is making it easy for the community to be a hero.
The Albuquerque Free to Breathe Bike Ride is a nonprofit lung cancer research and advocacy organization dedicated to ensuring surviving lung cancer as the expectation, not the exception.
Register, raise funds, and pedal is all it takes to be a hero for those dealing with lung cancer.
This inspirational event will feature a 20-mile bike ride, 10-mile bike ride or a six-mile children’s mini-ride for all fitness levels, with awards for top finishers and fundraisers.
This isn’t just going to be all pedaling; there will be live music, entertainment, and speakers to enjoy.
This event will be held at the National Hispanic Cultural Center.
Register the day of the event, Sunday, March 22, at 8 a.m.
The welcome rally begins at 8:30 and the rides begin starting at 9 and will finish with the closing rally at 11.
To join will cost only $40 for adults and $15 for youth.
All proceeds to this event help to support the non-profit organization. Their goal is to double the lung cancer survival by 2022.
