Former Torrance County manager plans to sue former employees

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The former Torrance County manager once accused of fraud is now going after her former employers.

Joy Ansley was charged with 10 counts of fraud conspiracy and other charges for allegedly steering county construction jobs to her friend and alleged lover Chris Valdez of CCS Construction. Those charges were later dropped, but two county commissioners were very vocal about their push to oust her.

Ansley resigned in October 2016 and went to work for the City of Moriarty. She has now notified those two commissioners that she plans to sue them. According to the Mountain View telegraph, it’s for harassment, assault and allegedly creating a hostile work environment.

The two commissioners didn’t comment, saying they have yet to see the suit.
