Former Red River bank teller pleads guilty to helping in robbery

RED RIVER, N.M. (KRQE) – A former bank employee has pleaded guilty to robbing the bank where she used to work.

Jennifer Miera was the teller who was confronted by two robbers at People’s Bank in Red River.

According to a criminal complaint, Miera conspired with the two men by planning the robbery and buying the items used to carry out the heist.

Miera was charged with bank robbery and conspiracy to rob a bank.

She pleaded guilty Wednesday.

If convicted, she faces up to 20 years in prison. A sentencing hearing has not been scheduled.
