A retired Albuquerque Police Department sergeant accused of driving drunk and leading deputies on a car chase pleaded not guilty in court Friday.
Moises Grossetete was pulled over in the fall after a deputy said he was swerving. Grossetete admitted to having two drinks but refused to get out of the car.
Deputies say he then put his car into drive and took off. The deputy chased him onto I-40 but the car chase was eventually called off.
Grossetete was later arrested at his home.
