FDA announces recall on birth control pill due to packaging

ALBUQUERUQE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Food and Drug Administration has announced a nationwide birth control recall.

Lupin Pharmaceuticals Inc. says women could become pregnant because of improperly labeled packages.

The affected products are the Mibelas 24 Fe.

The company says the first four days of tablets labeled as active pills are actually placebos.
