FBI arrests man connected to New Mexico prison gang

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The FBI says one of three people wanted in connection with New Mexico prison gangs is now locked up, and preparing for a court appearance.

On Sunday, Albuquerque Police arrested Paul Enrique Rivera, also known as “Oso.” Rivera is wanted in connection with the FBI’s multi-agency operation targeting the Syndicato de Nuevo Mexico prison gang. Rivera is expected to appear in federal court Monday.

Authorities are also looking for 36-year-old Shauna Gutierrez and 40-year-old Leroy Torrez, who they say are still at large.

In addition, the FBI is still looking for 38-year-old Angel Deleon who they say is a wanted fugitive connected to an earlier operation

involving the Syndicato de Nuevo Mexico gang.
