A father accused of driving high with his small daughter in the back seat has been released from jail.
Bernalillo County deputies arrested Jacob Marquez Saturday at the Four Winds Travel Center after a concerned citizen reported his erratic driving. Deputies say when they made contact with Marquez, his toddler’s diaper was soiled and her clothes were soaking wet.
They also found heroin in his car. Due to a lack of previous criminal history, a judge released Marquez until trial but added special conditions. He will not be able to see his daughter while his case is pending.
Marquez must also submit to drug and alcohol testing.
