RED VALLEY, ARIZONA (KRQE) – There is new information about the Farmington school bus crash. The bus rolled over Monday afternoon near Red Valley, Arizona. It was moving more 44 Bluff-View elementary students and 2 staff members at the time. The one adult who underwent surgery was released from the hospital Tuesday.
The district’s superintendent believes the bus veered off the road and the driver corrected then hit an embankment and tipped over. What’s unclear is what caused the driver to swerve.
Navajo Nation police are handling the investigation. They did take a blood sample from the driver to test for alcohol or drugs.
