Local rescuers got some help from the pros who patrol some of the world’s most treacherous terrain.

Air Zermatt is an internationally known rescue group operating on the Matterhorn Mountain bordering Italy and Switzerland.

Sunday, the group teamed up with the University of New Mexico School of Emergency Medicine to conduct a rescue exercise with emergency responders from the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department.

Air Zermatt was the subject of a Netflix reality series called “The Horn,” featuring the team’s perilous rescue.
