It was a perfect day to break out your kite in Edgewood.
Dozens of families showed up to the 17th Annual Kite Festival at Wildlife West Nature Park Saturday.
Visitors could bring their own kite or watch professional fliers take to the skies.
As for beginners, they could even purchase their first kite at the festival.
“We celebrate the wind. We have children and families. We try to get family and friends outside instead of on their computer, phones and all that stuff,” sais Roger Alink of Wildlife West.
Festival Goers also participated in a kite flying contest to see who navigates the wind best.
