Explora demonstrates “Cool Science”

News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Science isn’t always the most popular subject, but there’s one museum trying to change that.

Explora, a museum described as part science center and part kids museum, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to demonstrate a fun science experiment themed Cool Science.

Dr. Seuss dedicated a whole book to a sticky substance called, Oobleck. Oobleck is smooth like liquid, yet firm like concrete and is able to move around at proper frequencies.

Explora Educators, Marla Griego and Tom Curtis, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to experiment with the sticky substance. Watch above.

The museum is offering summer camps for those Pre-K through 8th grade and a Computer Game Development for teens. Also, 5 Star Burgers is donating 20-percent of their proceeds to Explora when patrons eat at their establishment on Wednesday, June 15 from 11am to 9pm and mention that they are “dining for Explora.”
