Experts offer money saving tips for 2017

News

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE)– Experts say those expecting a raise in 2017 shouldn’t get their hopes up.

According to a recent survey, employers are saying they’re not planning on giving raises or bonuses next year. Disappointing news considering half of American have less than $1,000 to their names.

Financial Professional, Hunter Unshuld with Fractal Profile Wealth Management, joined KRQE’s This Morning team to discuss ways to save money. Watch above.

Twenty-one percent of Americans do not have a savings account and by making a few changes, putting money in the bank can be easier than most things.

Unshuld suggests that planning meals for the week will help to cut down on grocery bills. Another good way to cut back is to find a free event that is going on each month and lastly, Unshuld suggest getting rid of clutter and selling your old items.

By putting the extra money you save each month into a savings account, it will help the savings become visual and encourage more savings.
