Estancia Schools hopes to curb sports fans’ bad behavior

ESTANCIA, N.M. (KRQE) – Some adults who don’t know how to behave have forced Estancia Schools to make some changes at its high school games.

District officials say they’re now clearly dividing visitors and home fans. They say there’s been a problem with some unsportsmanlike like behavior among adult fans.

They say some of it has been between fans, some between parents and referees. They’re now dividing all fans.

They hope the new arrangements will keep the focus on the athletes and not cause such a distraction.
