EPA pushes for more transparency from natural gas plants

News

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – The EPA has proposed a rule demanding more transparency from natural gas processing plants. The rule would require natural gas facilities nationwide to start publicly reporting toxic chemicals being released into the environment. The proposal comes in response to a push from environmental groups. This would affect the San Juan Natural Gas plants in Kirtland and Bloomfield.
