Eggs N’ Beggin fundraiser benefits local animal shelters

News

Local pets got all dolled up Saturday to help other animals in need.

The 6th Annual Eggs N’ Beggin Easter Event kicked off Saturday morning at Cabezon Park in Rio Rancho. Local animal shelters dressed up adoptable pets and families entered their own animals in a fashion show and parade.

All entry fees from the day’s contest will be put towards food, litter, crates, beds and toys at local shelters.

“These rescues do so much, they give so much to these dogs because some of these dogs come from bad situations and they give them a chance and we love that,” said Susana Vasquez with Pet Food Gone Wild.
