The University of New Mexico and Central New Mexico Community College are being awarded a joint grant of $2 million.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, the grant would be used to increase the number of students pursuing associate and bachelor’s degrees in humanities.

The joint grant is expected to also help support the transfer of students interested in studying humanities from CNM to UNM.

The grant is coming from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
