Teachers across New Mexico gathered together Monday with the goal of becoming better educators.
The Public Education Department hosted 1,300 teachers for a summit “Teaching with a Purpose.”
Teachers led 200 sessions, helping each other learn more about teacher wellness, PARCC testing, and more.
Educators say it’s a valuable experience.
“I think our greatest resources are the teachers here. They are the experts. To learn from them is an incredible experience for all of use,” teacher Ashley Randall said.
The session continues Tuesday.
