Many Albuquerque Public Schools are having to put projects on hold because of the defeated bond and mill levy put before voters, but some businesses are stepping up to help.

Navajo Elementary and APS tweeted out a big thank you to Swift Construction for donating gravel to beautify the school. They say the community school coordinator reached out for help and Swift Construction answered.

The district and individual schools are trying to figure out how to make the best of the situation given that they don’t have enough money for school and campus improvements this year.
