NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – On Tuesday, U.S. Representative Gabe Vasquez addressed the teacher shortage on tribal land.
The legislation addressed providing teachers and staff at tribally-controlled schools the same federal retirement benefits as teachers at Bureau of Indian Education schools.
Representative Vasquez made the announcement at Laguna Elementary.
