FBI background checks stall APS superintendent decision

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A final decision on who will run the state’s largest school district will be pushed back. Albuquerque Public Schools Board of Education announced they would push back the final decision on Friday night.

They say the district has not received all the FBI background checks of the three candidates in the running. Officials say they just wanted to make sure they went through all the steps before selecting a new superintendent, which they intend to do on Monday, March 15.
