'E.T. Crook' strikes at Albuquerque store_462366

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are searching for a thief who targeted a local, small store.

They say the suspect tried breaking into Doctor Dan’s Computers on Cutler and San Mateo Saturday morning.

They say he failed to get in the store but ended up taking six video surveillance cameras and damaged the door.

โ€œIโ€™m calling this kid the E.T. Crook because he looks like E.T. with the little shawl over his head. But he’s a real knucklehead because he’s looking at the camera as he’s doing the crime,โ€ said Officer Simon Drobik with Albuquerque police.

Police say the suspect may try and sell the cameras online or at the flea market.
