Durango police on the lookout after patrol car shot

News

DURANGO, C.O. (KRQE) – Police in Durango are looking for whoever shot out a window of an officer’s patrol car during the Fourth of July holiday.

The shooting happened while the car was parked outside the police station. The car was shot with either a bb or pellet gun. The damage is estimated to be around $500.

A police spokesman tells the Durango Herald that the department does have security cameras but none caught the suspect in the act.

If the suspect is caught, he or she is facing a criminal mischief charge.
