Durango Police begin training new K-9

News

The Durango Police Department has started training a new K-9 who will be their first police dog in two years.

The Durango Herald Reports her name is “Betty” and she’s expected to hit the streets in June.

The police department was able to get Betty after it received an anonymous donation last year.

Betty will be trained primarily in drug detection and patrol.
