Driver accused in Taos Pueblo crash takes plea deal

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The driver who fled the scene of a head-on collision on the Taos Pueblo nearly four years ago has taken a plea deal.

Investigators say Yvon Juteau hit and seriously injured two members of the Taos Pueblo back in July 2013.

It took three years for investigators to get the evidence to arrest him.

Under the plea agreement, Juteau faces up to two and half years behind bars.

He also made the news in 2016 when a homeowner shot him during a botched a home break-in.
