DOT says Santa Fe Rail Runner station can finally open

News

SANTA FE, N.M. (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Transportation says the Zia Rail Runner Station can finally open.

The station sits off Zia Road and St. Francis Drive in Santa Fe. It was built more than seven years ago for more than $1 million, but it has remained closed because of issues over private land surrounding it and parking.

In a letter, the state Department of Transportation said Monday it is satisfied with the improvements made by the city, and it is allowing the station to open.

No word on when exactly that will be.
