Stan, the dinosaur replica inside the museum’s atrium, will be taken down on Monday.
While he will be missed, museum staff say he will make way for a life-size animatronic version of New Mexico’s Bisti Beast. Successful fundraising efforts have raised enough money to bring the Japanese-engineered robot home to Albuquerque.
The Bisti Beast will arrive on May 6. After this weekend, Stan will be on display at the Farmington Museum for a year.
