An Albuquerque school got a surprise visit from a professional football player.
Students at Wherry Elementary were surprised when Tyrone Crawford, defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, walked in. He was helping celebrate the school district’s “Fuel up to Play 60” program, which expands student access to a healthy breakfast.
Crawford talked to kids about the importance of eating healthy, being active and having fun.
“To stress what’s important to these young students and young athletes is key because to get them thinking about this now will definitely help them in the future,” said Tyrone Crawford.
The students even got to show off in an obstacle course challenge while being cheered on by the NFL pro.
