Charges have been filed against four women for fighting at a youth basketball game.
It happened Wednesday night at a game between Acequia Madre Elementary and Turquoise Trail Elementary.
Witnesses say it started with some women encouraging their players to get physical with the other, then spun out of control with punches thrown, hair pulled and faces scratched.
Deputies have now filed charges against four women, 29-year-old Adriana Cardenas, 60-year-old Marie Vigil, 37-year-old Georgette O’Leary and 31-year-old Norma Torres Campos.
They say two were the instigators, the others fought when challenged. They’re all charged with public affray.
