The woman accused of leaving six dogs to die in a hot SUV is back behind bars.
Sara Mauter and her boyfriend were hired by a breeder to transport six dogs to Texas.
Police say instead, Mauter left the dogs in a car outside a nursery on Lomas, where they all died.
Mauter had been released pending trial and was supposed to appear in court on Monday, but she never showed up, prompting the judge to put a warrant out for her arrest.
She did show up Friday and pleaded not guilty before she was taken back to jail.
A hearing will determine whether she’ll have to stay there until trial.
