Warrant issued after DNA connects accused rapist to 2015 case

Crime

Police say DNA has now connected an accused rapist to a rape nearly four years ago.

A warrant has now been issued for Nicolas Williams. He was arrested earlier this month on one count of rape, but a judge released him while he awaits trial.

The 26-year-old is accused of picking up prostitutes last year on at least two occasions and raping them at gunpoint.

Police now say DNA from a 2015 case came back Tuesday matching Williams. He’s now charged with five new counts of rape and kidnapping.
