A failed attempt to steal an ATM left quite the mess at a New Mexico business.
An Artesia Police officer was out patrolling the area near Main Street and N. 26th Street early Friday morning when he noticed someone had driven into the Brewer store.
Surveillance video shows a man and woman attempting to load an ATM into the back of a truck, but they wouldn’t get far. The ATM was found about 200 feet away and the cash box was still intact.
The truck, which was later learned to be stolen, was set on fire west of town.
As for the suspects, they’re nowhere to be found.
