A man accused of a 15-year-old cold case is about to go on trial.

The 20-year-old victim was found curled up outside a Lovington convenience store in 2003 after being raped by a number of men.

The case went cold until 2015 when a DNA match came back linking the crime to 56-year-old Ramon Moreno.

Moreno had been arrested for a felony crime and was required to submit his DNA. Before that, his DNA wasn’t in the system.

He’s scheduled to go on trial in December.
