A teen who killed her step-mom, stole her car and fled to New Mexico, is facing 15 years in prison.
Police found Jenna Oakley in 2016 hiding out in a motel in Tucumcari with her boyfriend.
Kentucky State Police started searching for Oakley after they discovered 52-year-old Rhonda Oakley’s body.
Tuesday, Jenna Oakley, now 17 years old, pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and theft.
She will be sentenced in February.
It’s unclear how or why Rhonda Oakley was murdered.
