Suspect indicted for murder of Albuquerque couple

An Albuquerque man accused of killing a couple, then using their car to leave the state, is officially charged with murder.

Richard Ross is accused of killing John and Debra Embry in December 2018 after the couple was found dead inside their home.

Ross says he met Embry while they were both in jail and Embry offered him a place to stay.

Ross denies killing the couple. However, APD says Ross cut off his ankle monitor and fled to Oklahoma in the couple’s SUV,

Ross is charged with first-degree murder, car theft, and stealing the couple’s credit cards.
