The man accused of leading deputies on a dramatic highway chase Monday will not be held until trial. Roel Lahi, 25, is accused of shooting a fellow driver near Zuni, then leading deputies on a 150-mile chase to Albuquerque.
Deputies were eventually able to disable his vehicle near I-40 and Atrisco Vista with a spike strip.
Thursday morning, however, Judge Neil Candelaria released him on his own recognizance citing a lack of prior criminal history.
