A Farmington man is facing multiple charges in connection to a homicide investigation.

Police say they arrested 24-year-old Raheem Benally in connection to the stabbing death of 37-year-old Philbert Vanwinkle.

Police say they were called to Brothers Avenue Thursday evening after reports that Vanwinkle was lying in the road bleeding. He died on scene.

The two persons of interest initially being questioned were released.

Benally is facing charges of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence.
