A Rio Rancho middle school teacher is now facing DWI charges.
Officers responded to a single car rollover crash at Unser and Mariposa last October. Police say 42-year-old Trinity Watt was the driver and smelled of alcohol.
She couldn’t perform field sobriety tests due to a head injury, but provided a blood sample. Results showed she was above the legal limit.
Watt is a sixth-grade special education teacher at Mountain View Middle School. KRQE News 13 reached out to the district for comment, but have not heard back.
