Repeat DWI offender gets max sentence, license revoked

Crime

A Clovis man arrested for 10 DWIs will never be allowed to drive in New Mexico again.

Randall Pruitt, 55, has DWI convictions dating back to 1990. In one of his most recent arrests, a neighbor called police because Pruitt had crashed into her vehicle while trying to pull into his driveway.

Tuesday, he asked for mercy saying he’s a changed man, but the judge sentenced him to the maximum 12 years in prison and revoked his driver’s license for life.
