An Albuquerque father of four wants the man who took his eye out to stay behind bars for a long time.

In May, Kristian Anderson says he was leaving a park near Menaul and Eubank with his family, when he was randomly attacked by a man wielding a crow bar.

The attack cost him his eye, and ultimately his job.

The suspect was on the run for months, and just last week police arrested Michael Chavez for the crime.

Now, Anderson wants everyone to know how dangerous Chavez is.

“With this irate thinking and whatever…just violence that he has. I don’t want to see it happen to another family,” he said.

Chavez is charged with aggravated battery with great bodily harm.

He is currently in MDC on a no bond hold.
