Albuquerque shooting suspect leads police on a high-speed chase

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Police Department says a shooting suspect who led officers on a high-speed chase, shot and killed himself as they were closing in. It started around Noon on Monday when officers were called to a shooting at an apartment complex on Indian School near Louisana.

The man shot was taken to the hospital where he reported currently as stable. Later in the afternoon, officers responded to reports of a man fitting the suspect’s description. The man took off, leading police at high speeds through the city before stopping near Lomas.

Police say he shot and killed himself inside his car. At this time, APD has not released his identity.
