NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Maylene John, 33, of Shiprock, New Mexico has been charged with second-degree murder. John is accused of killing her 7-year-old daughter.
Court records show John allegedly stabbed her daughter in the chest in October 2022. John claimed she did not know what led to the stabbing and said she blacked out after. John will be held behind bars until trial.
