Man with history of property crimes arrested again

A thief behind a rash of property crimes in Torrance County years ago is back behind bars charged with five new cases in three counties.

Cody Henson has a long history of stealing things. In 2011, he was busted by Torrance County deputies for stealing from businesses.

Tons of stolen property was taken from his home in Moriarty. They filled up three horse trailers with the goods, everything from TVs to copy paper to semi truck tires to power tools — even three hot tubs.

Now Henson is accused of breaking into a Santa Fe cafe, a Santa Fe Discount Tire, an Albuquerque tire shop and oil change business, and using stolen credit cards at a Guadalupe County gas station.

He was just recently arrested and loads of stolen property was found in his truck.

Investigators are working to find the owners of the property.
